POSITION SUMMARY
Provides day-to-day classroom activities to I/DD participants under the direction of the Life Skills Education Supervisor. Keeps supervisor informed of participant progress, and any incidents/situations that may have an adverse impact on participants or the program. Documents all relevant information and activities on a timely basis. Demonstrates problem solving, crisis de-escalation,and communication skills. Assists with file review and maintaining compliant program documentation.
Requirements
- Highschool diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the population served is required.
- DSP credential required. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Valid driver’s license, and a driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier.
