Description
This position teaches lower-division Spanish language courses both in-person and online. Other course offerings could include the Mexican Immigrant Experience, Spanish for Professional Practice, and Texts and Narratives of the Spanish-Speaking World.
The World Languages and Cultures program offers both in-person and online undergraduate majors and minors in Spanish, French, and German, as well as a dual degree in Global Studies, minors in Linguistics and Japanese, and additional language instruction in ASL, Chinese, Italian, and Korean. It is part of the School of Language, Culture, and Society, which also includes undergraduate and graduate programs in Anthropology & Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies; an undergraduate program and graduate minor in Ethnic Studies; minors in Indigenous Studies, Latinx Studies, Social Justice, Queer Studies; and a certificate in Food in Culture and Social Justice. Our School values interdisciplinary collaboration, community-centered research, and socially transformative learning.
